Why go virtual?

Let’s be honest, life is busy! TeleHealth can fit into your life more easily than in person sessions. TeleHealth lets you avoid a commute. It lets you meet with a specialist even if we’re not located near your home or office (or home office!). And TeleHealth lets you meet with your provider even when weather is… not ideal. This is Illinois after all.

We have found that most individuals who explore the benefits of tele-sessions don’t want to go back!

o  TeleHealth allows you to engage in therapy via secure, live video. Meet with your therapist from the comfort and privacy of your home. TeleHealth makes therapy portable, so you can meet when you’re away from home, too. And don’t worry, research supports that therapy is equally effective in person or by telehealth. What kinds of services are offered virtually?

o  Plenty! We’re happy to report that telehealth is highly effective for most psychological interventions. These include Couples Therapy (IBCT), Exposure-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based approaches, Trauma-focused treatments (such as Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)), relaxation and stress management skills, healthy sleep habits, and more.
